Centrally located in the heart of the metropolitan region of Nuremberg and yet quiet - that's how our small, family-run hotel is situated. Thanks to the good connections, you can reach Erlangen, Fürth or Nuremberg by car as well as by public transport in a short time.

If you are looking for relaxation after a busy day, you will find it in our small wellness area with sauna or in summer on our idyllic garden terrace with pool. If you prefer to be active, the Regnitz meadows, just a few minutes away, are ideal for jogging and cycling.

After a restful night in our quiet, comfortable rooms, a balanced, rich breakfast awaits you. We bake our own bread rolls and attach great importance to regional quality in our ingredients.

Sustainable travel

The green horse

Converting a business to be as sustainable as possible is a marathon, not a sprint. And some changes cannot be implemented in the short term for a small family business for technical and financial reasons. Nevertheless, we believe that even a small house like ours can play a part in making travel more sustainable and resource-conserving. For us, sustainability is not a one-off project that is completed after a few months, but a philosophy that we use to guide current and future decisions in order to become a little greener every day.

Greener breakfast

  • We bake the rolls for your breakfast ourselves in our small bakery. Flour, malt and other basic ingredients come from the Litz Mill in the neighbouring district of Neustadt a. d. Aisch
  • Our eggs come from the neighbouring town
  • For dairy products, we use milk from Bavarian cows in order to keep transport distances short.
  • We obtain fruit and vegetables - according to seasonal availability - from the neighbouring Knoblauchsland, the "vegetable garden" of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region and preferably in organic quality.

More sustainable accommodation

  • We also rely on regionality wherever possible when equipping our minibar. Our water does not come from France, but from Franken Brunnen in nearby Neustadt a. d. Aisch. Our beer selection changes, but what remains the same is our standard: excellent beers from small local breweries. Not only because it tastes good, but also to promote the unique Franconian beer culture. It goes without saying that we use reusable systems for our drinks.
  • The electricity in our house comes 100 per cent from sustainable energy sources.
  • Hot water and pool heating are supported by a solar thermal system on the roof.
  • Our cleaning product range is Ecolabel certified to ensure that the ingredients are sustainably produced and the packaging is fully recyclable.
  • To avoid unnecessary waste, we offer sustainable body care products in large, fully recyclable dispensers instead of small shower gel bottles.
  • Speaking of recycling: You can of course assume that we carefully separate any waste that arises and return it to the recycling cycle.
